Thanks, Rob. Appreciate your comment.

Why theocentric instead of Christocentric? Great question.

I am contrasting theocentric with anthropocentric preaching. I see Christocentric as very close to theocentric preaching - actually, it's a crucial part since theocentric preaching is Trinitarian.

Hope that is at least a little bit clear.

I found your blog through REV! Magazine and jut skimmed a bit for the first time today. Overall, I love what you've got here. A sermon is not a self-help speech, but an encouragement to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith. Then an encouragement to live out our gratitude for the cross (application). I only have one question: Why "Theocentric" instead of "Christocentric"? Thanks for the interesting read!

Darryl,

Hope your presentation goes well! I regularly drop in on your "theocentric" blog - it's an important issue to address and I enjoy the good food for thoughts. Thanks for the seminar notes!
